Single Staff Guide Notes Worksheets – An introduction to guide notes on a single staff. Students can write the correct answers in pencil, or to reuse the sheets, laminate and use a dry erase marker. Laminated sheets can also be fixed to a magnet board for use with magnet notes. 4 sheets in total. 8 1/2 x 11 .pdf. Print on regular paper or card stock, and laminate if desired. No cutting required.
Keyboard Pieces – Keyboard pieces to introduce / reinforce the keyboard layout and notes on the keyboard. 3 sets are included: one blank, one with C and F guide notes, and one with all letter names. 3 sheets in total. 8 1/2 x 11 .pdf. Print on heavy or card stock. Print multiple copies – enough to make a large keyboard. Be sure to choose “Fit” or “Fit to Page” in your printer settings. Cut around keyboard images into groups of 2 black keys and groups of 3 black keys. Have young students practice constructing a keyboard on the floor, then adding bingo chip note names if you have them, or using the keyboard pieces with letter names on them.
Sight Reading Rhythms – A twist on basic sight reading exercises. These exercises use repeated notes with basic rhythms for beginners. Includes a variety of start notes and finger numbers. 4 sheets in total. 8 1/2 x 11 .pdf. Print on regular paper and keep in binder or page protector.
